The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Sculpture : Beauty and the Beast

Frame: In the center of the stage a sculpture created out of skeleton of men in an illogical shape with two skulls. Heads are placed in such a way that they are about to kiss. [Even though they never able to do that they both can enjoy the beauty of each others skull which never fades]. A red spot light falls on it. A notice board is placed near to it. It reads "Quasimodo: - For though he was gentle and kind, it was Quasimodo's crime to have been born hideously deformed. But one day his heart would prove to be a thing of rare beauty.
Esmerelda: - She was Esmerelda. The victim of a coward's jealous rage, she is unjustly convicted of a crime she didn't commit. Her sentence is death by hanging. Only one man can save her--Quasimodo."
[From the front edge of the stage a light pointing upwards is placed in the ground level. A man fully covered sits close to the light. His face and most other part of the stage falls under the shade from the book he reads]

" We have just said that Quasimodo disappeared from Notre- Dame on the day of the gypsy's and of the archdeacon's death. He was not seen again, in fact; no one knew what had become of him. During the night which followed the execution of la Esmeralda, the night men had detached her body from the gibbet, and had carried it, according to custom, to the cellar of Montfauçon."

"As for the mysterious disappearance of Quasimodo, this is all that we have been able to discover. About eighteen months or two years after the events which terminate this story, when search was made in that cavern for the body of Olivier le Daim, who had been hanged two days previously, and to whom Charles VIII. had granted the favor of being buried in Saint Laurent, in better company, they found among all those hideous carcasses two skeletons, one of which held the other in its embrace. One of these skeletons, which was that of a woman, still had a few strips of a garment which had once been white, and around her neck was to be seen a string of adrézarach beads with a little silk bag ornamented with green glass, which was open and empty. These objects were of so little value that the executioner had probably not cared for them. The other, which held this one in a close embrace, was the skeleton of a man. It was noticed that his spinal column was crooked, his head seated on his shoulder blades, and that one leg was shorter than the other. Moreover, there was no fracture of the vertebrae at the nape of the neck, and it was evident that he had not been hanged. Hence, the man to whom it had belonged had come thither and had died there. When they tried to detach the skeleton which he held in his embrace, he fell to dust".

The Kite Runner - A war in the heart

Frame: A young man flying a Kite in the stage. He is having a string in his hand other end going to the top of the stage. In background screen moving images of a white kite flying in the sky. The man while flying kite passionately speaks to the audience.
Man says: "Then he would remind us that there was a brotherhood between people who had fed from the same breast, a kinship that not even time could break. Hassan and I fed from the same breasts. We took our first steps on the same lawn in the same yard. And, under the same roof, we spoke our first words.
Mine was Baba.
His was Amir. My name.
Looking back on it now, I think the foundation for what happened in the winter of 1975 and all that followed was already laid in those first words."

[Looses the string as if kite is going high. In background screen We can see fighter planes flying behind the kite and a lot of smog around it]

Man says: "I became what I am today at the age of twelve, on a frigid overcast day in the winter of 1975. I remember the precise moment, crouching behind a crumbling mud wall, peeking into the alley near the frozen creek. That was a long time ago, but it's wrong what they say about the past, I've learned, about how you can bury it. Because the past claws its way out. Looking back now, I realize I have been peeking into that deserted alley for the last twenty-six years."

[Tighten the string as if he finds another kite following it. And in background screen we can see another kite following it.]

Man says: "You're gutless. It's how you were made. And that's not such a bad thing because your saving grace is that you've never lied to yourself about it. Not about that. Nothing wrong with cowardice as long as it comes with prudence. But when a coward stops remembering who he is. God help him."

[Pulling the string to another side as if to move away from the one following]

Man says: "War doesn't negate decency. It demands it, even more than in times of peace."

[Tighten the string again as if kite again following it. And in background screen we can see that kite still following it intending to cut the string of first one.]

Man says: "But coming close wasn't the same as winning, was it? ... He had won because winners won and everyone else just went home."

[Looses the string to send his kite high and pulls it in the opposite direction to chase the following one. We can see it in the background screen]

Man says: "For you, a thousand times over"

[Suddenly pulls back so that his kite could fall over the other one and cut its string. We can see the other kite loosing its control and falling down through the wind.]

Man says: "I ran. A grown man running with a swarm of screaming children. But I didn't care. I ran with the wind blowing in my face, and a smile as wide as the valley of Panjsher on my lips. I ran."

This show continious and pasing more and more exitement to the audience.

And the winner is..........................

Music got slow and ended in silence. Pindrop silence for a second. A figure walking slowly, steadily moves in to the stage. seems very lazy for the walk, but foot steps are firm and strong. Head keeping high in air. Heads very slowly turning from one side of the audience to other. Looking the audience with his half closed eyes. swiftly placing each step forword with out even hurting the floor. As he moving forword audience slowly started claping their hands with a slow voice they started singing the poem.

"Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare seize the fire?

And What shoulder, and what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? and what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?

When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the lamb make thee?

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?"

Background screen shows "SAVE OUR TIGERS.... ONLY 1411 LEFT!!!"

Titanic - Painting: My heart will go on

Frame1: Inside view of a highly furnished living room. Rose entering to room through the door in back stage. Wearing a gown covering whole body. Jack sitting on a sofa placed backward in the stage. Rose moving slowly in to the center stage looking in to his eyes.
Rose: "What I need is another picture similar to what you are looking of the door." (after a second, moving close to jack.) "But kept what I want." (then showing the necklace with the diamond on her neck) "Wearing this, wearing only this."
Jack: (stands up) "Ya" (a long sigh)

Moving to the table aside then picks up paper, pencils, drawing board, drawing stand etc. then brings them and places in front of the sofa. Makes arrangements for drawing and sits behind the board and looks rose as if he is prepared. Rose curiously looking at what Jack is doing. Slowly moves to the sofa and sits on it. Then lays down on it facing opposite to the stage and towards where Jack is siting. Then removes her gown backward with her hand and places it on the sofa.

Rose: " Tell me when it looks".
Jack: Hi jack (awakening himself from disbelief and with trembling hands picks up the pencils and starts drawings)
Rose: "I believe in your deflections"
Jack: "Just relax now" (with immense concentration on drawings and moves his eyes through her body)
Rose:" What you are drawing now"
Jack:" Its landscapes"
Light points on Jack and his drawing board and fades away in all other places.

Frame2: A black screen in background. A projector showing images from a camera is placed on to the screen. Camera settings are adjusted such that it will capture any light objects in stage and shows it on screen. Then any move from the light object will create further images keeping old one as it is and creates a light wave simulating a brush move. Similarly if we illuminate any parts in stage that image also will get captures. As Jack is concentrated on his drawing and brush move a man with complete black dress (invisible to audience) comes in to the stage with a light emitting device on which he can switch on and off different color lights. He moves the light through the curves of Rose laying in darkness creating an image of those curves on back screen. Using different colors and moves he creates beautiful reflections on screen. Then he illuminates part of her body creating images of those parts alone and one by one portraits whole part of her body in the screen. While doing this painting we can hear the song in back ground." Every night in my dreamsI see you, I feel youThat is how I know you go on.
Far across the distanceand spaces between usYou have come to show you go on.
Near, Far,wherever you are,I believe that the heart does go on.
Once more, you opened the doorAnd you're here in my heart, and my heart will go on and on.
Love can touch us one timeand last for a lifetimeAnd never let go till we're gone.
Love was when I loved you,one true time to hold on toIn my life we'll always go on.
Near, far, wherever you are,I believe that the heart does go on.
Once more, you opened the doorAnd you're here in my heart, and my heart will go on and on.
You're here, there's nothing I fearAnd I know that my heart will go on.
We'll stay, forever this wayYou are safe in my heart and my heart will go on and on. "
